Local Heroes: High-Profile Renovations With a Sense of Place
Sunday, November 13, 2011
12noon-1pm

As part of their efforts to better connect with today’s sophisticated travelers, more and more boutique hotels are undergoing renovations aimed at creating interiors that evoke a strong sense of place. This session will offer an in-depth look two noteworthy examples of this phenomenon—the Four Seasons Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, which designers from Four Seasons and SFA Design instilled with a modern take on vintage Hollywood glamour, and Kimpton’s elegant new Hotel Monaco in Philadelphia, which ABA Design Studio is creating with the hotelier’s in-house development team in a former office building facing that city’s historic Independence Square.
